To say it is a massive satisfaction to see our All Mountain bike, the 2UP, making 2nd place for the Australian Gravity Cup Series Round 2 at Mount Buller in Expert category, is an absolute understatement! This downhill track can only be described as incredibly challenging, with majority of it having technical rocky features. But the well engineered 2UP wasn’t going to miss out on its toughest challenge yet. And when Sebastien Deubel took the hot seat crossing the finish line, the dominating comment amongst the riders was “The 2UP is insane!” Video of Sebastien's head cam race and podium presentation.
Racing the Super D at the Australian All Mountain Cup series, Mount Buller for Deubel Bicycles, was Marc de Geoffroy. Marc has joined the Deubel Racing Team to compete National and NSW State events. Marc's best result in XC is 2nd place in the Rocky Trail Entertainment 24hr Elite team and best result in DH is 4th overall in Expert category for the National Downhill series in 1996.
The all new All-Mountain race format is a nine kilometre descent which also features a few calf burning ascents. The trail is a fast, smooth fire trail with numerous water bars and flowing corners, finishing with twelve spectacular river crossings. Marc felt strong and confident after few practise runs with the All-Mountain 2UP. Marc said "The 2UP is the perfect bike for this All-Mountain race format, am really really fast!"
Sebastien Deubel said "I watched all the Elite guys racing, Marc impressed me, he was going for a top 3, for sure". Unfortunately, a flat tyre ruined Marc's chances to be one of the fastest men of the day. That's racing. Marc and the 2UP will be chasing an amazing result in 3 weeks at Stromlo, Canberra for the next round of the Australian All Mountain Cup! Video of Interview with Marc de Geoffroy.
